Effect of flipped classroom and automatic source code evaluation in a CS1 programming course according to the Kirkpatrick evaluation model

Abstract This paper proposes to evaluate learning efficiency by implementing the flipped classroom and automatic source code evaluation based on Kirkpatrick model in students of CS1 programming course. The experimentation was conducted with 82 from two courses; an experimental group (EG = 56) a control (CG 26). Each student each completed 15 tasks. level knowledge participants acquired between groups is measured using model, taking as pre-test previous knowledge, grade assessment, time activities, post-test achieved. When comparing submits group, it observed that value means similar for EG CG; this case, not factor comparison groups. However, grading, different scored better than CG students. shows strategy implemented, one hand, does improve activities; other improves grades
